Get your LIFE
BACK
Let us
help you get your life back.
Has your life changed because of an accident or surgery?
What did you enjoy doing before that you can no longer do?

Our goal is to
help bring back that part of your life that was lost. We will try to
design a custom aid that will help you do the activities you may only dream
about now.
Our organization
is built around giving to people to make their lives better. Our anonymous donors pay for the research
and development of these products and can help out with the costs of the eventual
finished product if need be. The cost
of the finished product will be determined on a person by person based on their
needs and their financial situation.
The
first step is for
you to tell us what activities you can no longer do because of your disability.
It may be bow hunting, tennis, fishing, or anything that you used to do or what
you would like to do but feel you are not able to because of your condition.
Or, possibly an improvement or attachment that would make your prosthesis work
better for you.
Something
like this;
“I lost my right arm in an accident two years ago. I really liked to go
fishing but now it is more of a hassle than it is worth. I am a below the elbow
amputee and my prosthesis is a XXXX type. I would appreciate something that
would make fishing easier and fun again so I can go out with my kids and
actually participate and not just watch.
Best regards,
The
second step is our
team will gather information from you about your activity limitations and what
you are capable of now.
The
third step is where
we lock our designer in his shop and don't let him out until he has created an
acceptable prototype of the desired “life enhancer” for you. When
the bugs have been worked out, then this accessory will be mailed to you upon
payment of the predetermined price.
Even if it were
something that is not totally practical but you would like us to consider it,
tell us about it and we’ll post it for opinion. There may be others out there that would like to have something
like that too. A light that attached to
prosthesis for camping or a hidden compartment that snaps onto your leg
prosthesis to hide money while on vacation.
Tell us your ideas.
Please write to Info@lifeback.org
with your story. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.
Here is a list of projects that are under development for anyone
who could use them:
Ø Prosthesis fishing pole holder
Ø Sock applicator
Ø Swimming helper
Ø Pogo Crutches – softens the initial
contact and gives an added boost on “take off.”
Ø Geared wheelchair – design not finalized.
Ø Tennis racket for the handicapped
If you feel that you are in a position to help with this
organization financially or with donated equipment, please don’t hesitate to
contact us at the above email address. We
want to hear from you too. We could use
crutches, wheelchairs, fishing poles, raw materials such as aluminum and steel
bar stock, hardware like fasteners, hinges, springs, etc. any electrical
supplies such as switches, relays, wire, etc. and… money. Our designer is known as MacGuyver and can
make just about anything but he needs the supplies to put it all together.
